Why we built Tik4DL
We kept running into the same problem: a TikTok worth keeping, and no good way to keep it. The built-in save button adds a watermark, is often turned off, and the “free downloaders” we tried were a maze of pop-ups, fake buttons and blurry re-encodes. So we built the tool we wanted to use ourselves.
Tik4DL does one job: give you the original file behind a public TikTok, fast, in the best quality available, without making you sign up for anything.
What we care about
- Clean files. No watermarks, no re-compression, sensible file names.
- Honest design. One download button where you expect it. Ads, when shown, are clearly ads and never disguised as download buttons.

How it works, briefly
When you paste a link, our server asks for the public information TikTok makes available for that post, including the original media files. We show you the options and, when you click a button, stream the file to you with a proper name. Results are cached for a few minutes and then discarded.
